FAQ - PIP Extension
Frequently Asked Questions about PIP Extension
PIP is a Web3 layer on the internet that allows people to send and receive cryptocurrencies and tokens, and monetize content on top of the existing social media platforms, such as Twitter, Reddit, Discord, and Twitch, and Github.
PIP can be used anywhere on the internet.
PIP currently supports Desktop only.
- 1.Open your Chrome, Edge, or Opera browser.
- 2.Install PIP browser extension.
- 3.Sign up for PIP and connect your Phantom, Binance wallet, or Metamask.

- 5.Click the button automatically embedded in the social platform or PIP tag to send the tip to anyone on the Internet.
A PIP tag is a special text that identifies you on Web3 and functions as a simplified wallet address. PIP extension detects the PIP tag displayed on websites or social media, and users can send tokens to users by clicking the tag without knowing their wallet addresses.
Solana is a decentralized blockchain built to enable scalable, user-friendly apps for the world, and it is one of the fastest-growing ecosystems in crypto, with over 400 projects spanning Defi, NFTs, Web3, and more.
Solana is an ideal blockchain to build products and services on. It is a layer-one blockchain protocol with scalability and smart contract functionality. Its high TPS and low fees allow us to create a true Peer-to-Peer economy.

If you send tips to anyone who has not signed up for PIP, the extension will act as an escrow service. If the receiver signs up for PIP, the tip you provided will be automatically transferred to his/her PIP account. If the tip is not received within 24 hours from the time you sent, it will be automatically returned to your wallet and the transaction will be cancelled.
Blockchain transactions are irreversible by design. You cannot cancel the payment that is already made.
If your friend on Twitter is already a PIP user, he/she will receive it instantly. If not, your friend must claim the received crypto within 24 hours by installing the PIP extension and connecting the Phantom wallet.
